Red – there is a record override with conflict Yellow – there is a record override but without a true conflict Green – the records are identical without any override White – is a new record without any override When you click on a single ID, Xedit will show to you its records in the right panel, compared to the same ID’s record from others loaded mods if there are any. Both the mod title, groups and ID’s will be colored. When finished, Xedit will show (in the left panel again) your load order but this time it will be colored. Xedit will start working on applying the filter: it will take a while. Xedit will open the window filter, here don’t touch anything, all you need is already flagged, click on “filter”. Every mod is composed of groups and each group by ID’s.Īnywhere in the left panel right-click and select “apply filter”. You can navigate inside any listed mod by clicking on the cross (+) to expand the title. You will see the loaded mods in the left panel. Wait until Xedit loads your selected mods and their required masters. Right-click in the pop up window and click “select none”, then flag 2 (or more) mods that you want to check and click “OK” It will open a window with all your load order flagged (except Skyrim masters) The example is intended to help you understand how to do the check and how to read the results. This means base compatibility, but also that you have to manage your load order. If you have 10 mods which change the name of the same ID, only the last one in the load order will be loaded. Skyrim can load only 1 record for every ID. Most important rule to understand about load order and Xedit is the “rule of one”.
